Alot has been happening at work lately. Our site director was fired, followed by many agents, and my manager who was given a gentle nudge after a big email fiasco. I am not feeling at all secure in my job at the moment. We have a site director from Collinsville, VA with us right now and there are some big changes happening. First, roughly half the site (in customer care) is being moved to a different line of business. This is bad for me, because if they transition the rest of the center, chances are that my department will be phased out as well. There has also been growing concern about our rate of pay. Some of the powers that be are concerned that the wage they set for my department is too high, and that it isn't profitable to run at that cost anymore. This makes it much more likely that a phase out would be encourage with the other changes happening.
We also had a big commotion about an email that was sent from a third part account to upper management of our client, and it was not a nice message. Our outbound email was revoked and we have to try to function without the convenience and speed of email communication. So far, it has been a pain in the ass.
I really hope that my department stays in tact.. I don't want to see the pay cut and I enjoy this much more than my last position. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.
